August 28, Los Angeles –Bus Riders Union Unveils Results of Bus Rider Survey: D Grade Point Average. Today the BRU held a press conference, to release a 2600 person survey that revealed the strong dissatisfaction that bus riders have with MTA bus service.

A statewide coalition of human rights groups today urged Atty. Gen. Jerry Brown to devise a plan to comply with a federal court order to reduce the California prison population by 44,000 rather than delay the inevitable by appealing it.
