Van Jones, president and co-founder of Rebuild the Dream, discusses the U.S.economy, foreclosures, student loans, Obama, Occupy, and what it means to Build the Movement.

 

Their web site describes the organization as: A platform for bottom-up, people-powered organizing, teach-ins, online petitions, rallies, creative events, viral digital projects, and traditional media: We are amplifying key demands-for student debt relief, an honest reckoning with Wall Street Banks, protection for public service employees.

 

Van is the author of The Green Collar Economy,  and Rebuild the Dream. In 2009, Van worked as the green jobs advisor to the Obama White House. There, he helped run the inter-agency process that oversaw $80 billion in green energy recovery spending.
