Ash-Lee is an Eastern Tennessee native, where she is currently a lead organizer with Chattanooga Organized for Action.

Her work focuses on issues of mountaintop removal mining, community
empowerment, and environmental justice in Southern Appalachia. She is
on the steering committee of Mountain Justice and last year helped
organize the Appalachia Rising march in Washington, DC where over 1,000
activists protested in front of the White House.
