Accusations of election fraud, mass protests, and repressive violence in Iran have grabbed headlines around the world in the last two weeks. Vijay Prashad, expert on Third World politics and history, argues that despite mass media painting Iran's regime as authoritarian, the protests reveal that Iran is a robust democracy.
