    In 1984 Federal agents stormed the LA homes of student activists for Palestinian self-determination to become known as the Los Angeles 8. Accused of being associated with the Palestinian Liberation Organization, and also communist groups, the activists were never charged nor found guilty. Michel Shehadeh and Khader Hamide, two of the LA8, are now threatened with deportation under Homeland Security and the Patriot Act. Michel Shehadeh, board member of the Los Angeles/Orange County chapter of American Arab Anti-discrimination Committee and spokesperson for Free Palestine Alliance talks about the case. listen

    On December 5th, the Committee on Assistance for a Free Cuba, including members such as Colin Powell, Condoleeza Rice, Mel Martinez, convened to create what Bush calls, "A plan for the happy day that Castro's regime is no more."
