LisaGay Hamilton, well known for her film, TV, and theater career, and for her sharp political mind. You might best know her in the role of attorney Rebecca Washington on the ABC legal drama The Practice, and for her critically acclaimed performance as young Sethe in Jonathan Demme's film adaptation of Toni Morrison's Beloved. She also directed the documentary film Beah: A Black Woman Speaks in 2003 about the groundbreaking career actress Beah Richards.  LisaGay currently teaches at the School of Theater for the California Institute of the Arts.
