We have a human right to high-quality public transportation that riders and workers govern. This campaign will help us find the resources to meet that human need but also to improve the wages and working conditions of public transit workers.

The Atlanta Transit Riders' Union is a grassroots organization of transit riders and their supporters. Unlike those attacking MARTA, our leaders and members use the system. We believe the people who ride transit every day should have a strong voice in decisions about MARTA and regional transit. ATRU is a committee of Atlanta Jobs with Justice, a coalition of labor unions, community and faith-based organizations, student groups, and local activists. AJWJ supports workers' rights and people's struggles to create a just society.
