Roosevelt Students Rally to End Curfew Rule
by Kendra Williby on Wednesday, October 20, 2010

Damp weather did no keep Roosevelt High School students and teachers from holding an early morning rally yesterday at which they called on school officials to end the practice of issuing tickets to students on their way to school under the "Day-Time Curfew law." Students said the practice does not increase attendance as intended, and may actually be discouraging students who are running late from going to school out of fear that they will be ticketed.
