Pollution Watch Series #1: Which MTA Rapid Bus Lines Help Your Family’s Health? …And Which Ones DON’T?

New Rapid Bus lines could reduce nitrogen oxides in the air by attracting drivers out of their private cars and into faster running bus lines. The 720 Rapid Bus line has been moving passengers quickly on Wilshire Boulevard and the BRU's fight to pressure the MTA to implement a federal court order to expand the Rapid Bus by at least 134 buses seeks to increase bus ridership. Only through adding more buses on the streets can we begin to roll back the high use of private car in Los Angeles and its subsequent public health hazards.
