Pollution Watch Series #0: What Do You and Your Family Breathe Everyday?
by Duyen Tran on Saturday, April 10, 2010
Los Angeles residents breathe in toxic air daily as a direct result of living in the country's most auto-dominated city. Respiratory complications, reproductive harm, and cancer are all caused by auto-source toxins such as lead, benzene, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, ozone, and 1,3 butadiene. These auto-source toxins directly impact the lives of the working class communities of color that live along the freeways and busy transit corridors. Join the Clean Air, Clean Lungs, Clean Buses Campaign to end the auto's attack on public health.
