December 19th, Saturday, the Bus Riders Union will be having it's End of the Year celebration to recognize our accomplishments of 2009 and mark 15 years of civil rights and environmental justice victories.  Join us as we celebrate 15 years of a nationally recognized struggle to build a clean-fuel, world-class mass transportation system in the most air polluted and auto-dominated city in the U.S. We will relive our historic victories, recount our advances made in 2009, as well as discuss what opportunities and challenges 2010 presents to us as we embark on our 16th year of being rooted in the struggle.

The program will include a slide show of our work over the past 15 years, a brief discussion, music and cultural performances, and a pot-luck style meal.  Members who are able to are requested to bring a dish along.  Bringing friends and family is highly encouraged and we request that you notify the office (213-387-2800) of how many will be attending to make sure that we have enough food.
