TRPT joins Rev. Jesse Jackson and labor for NYC press conference on transit operations
As Senator Brown formally introduced his bill for transit operation in the Senate, in New York TRPT members WeAct, and Little Village for Environmental Justice, joined the "Keep America Moving" coalition at a press conference on jobs and transit operations.

In front of historic Penn Station, Cecil Corbin-Marc of WeAct in Harlem and Kimberly Wasserman of Little Village for Environmental Justice Organization in Chicago spoke in front of a crowd made up the Transit Workers Union, the Almagamated Transit Workers, the United Transportation Union, Congressman Charles Rangel and Reverend Jesse Jackson in support of the House and Senate Transit Bill. Reverend Jackson spoke to the gathered crowd and media about saving jobs and converting outdated autoworks to producing trains and buses.

Senate version of Rep Carnahan's bill for operations funding
Senator Brown's marker bill, S3189 is the Senate version of Congressman Russ Carnahan's bill H.R. 2746 to amend title 49, US Code to allow for Additional Transportation Assistance Grants. The Senator's bill will give transit agencies the ability to use 30-50% of their funding to operate their transit system depending on their population.
