Help Us Win a City Council Resolution
Opposing the Runner Initiative

On Wednesday, June 11th, the LA City Council will be voting on the Cardenas-Parks-Garcetti Resolution opposing the Runner Initiative.

If passed by the voters in November, the Runner Initiative will target Black and Brown youth and communities, immigrants and low-income families. It will result in cuts to schools, healthcare, eldercare and other vital services to further fund the prison, police and probation systems, and it will erode civil rights and civil liberties.

If Los Angeles City Council passes this motion it will be the first Southern California municipality to oppose the Runner Initiative, joining the cities of San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley and Richmond.

Please take action NOW by calling and emailing these LA City Councilmembers who have not yet committed their support:

Wendy Greuel: (213) 473-7002, councilmember.greuel@lacity.org
