Patrisse Cullors, Community Rights organizer, co-founded and teaches in the Summer Youth Organizing Academy, graduate of NSSO class of 2003, elected to the BRU Planning Committee 2003. She grew up in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley, in high school active in the National Conference for Community and Justice, drama major at Santa Monica Community College and ballet and hip hop teacher. In the BRU she was co-chair of the Student Bus Pass campaign committee, member of the Strategy Center’s delegation to the People of Color Summit II and delegation to New Orleans after Katrina.
